Worship at Westminister
At WPC we gather weekly as God’s people to meet with our Father. The gospel is renewed in us through public reading and exposition of scripture, prayer, singing good hymns and praise songs, and the administration of Christ’s sacraments of communion and baptism. Together we hear again the promises of God and our lives are wonderfully enriched and empowered.
Worship is not merely something we do as Christians, it is the purpose for which God has saved us from our sin; to “declare the praises of him…” Worship is the goal of our salvation, and the goal of all history (Rev. 5:12-13). God is gathering a people from every tribe and tongue and nation to worship Him.
Worship services begin at 10:30 AM and are live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
Sunday School and Fellowship
Sunday school classes for ages 5 to “seasoned saints” are offered each Sunday at 9:00 AM. From children’s lessons to in-depth studies of the scriptures, these are meant fill out the Christian’s knowledge of the Word.
Fall 2022 classes for adults will include studies in Hebrews and Galatians, as well as a read-through-the-Bible class.
Following Sunday School and before morning worship at 10:30 AM, there is a time of fellowship in the atrium. Doughnuts, juice, and coffee are available as we transition from learning to worship.
What About My Kids?
Nursery available - 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM
Westminster is a family-friendly environment. We believe that children are a blessing from God and are a vital part of every local church. We do not offer any “children’s church” during Sunday worship service as we believe children are a part of the entire church family. Families are encouraged to worship together. We know that having kids in worship with us brings some extra “kid noise” with it – and we like it that way.
However, if you would like, we provide a staffed nursery for all regular Sunday morning services for ages 6 weeks thru 5 years.
Nursery is located upstairs as you come through the covered church entrance.
Wednesday evenings are a time for fellowship and growing in Christ. There is something for all ages. At 5:30 p.m. we will gather to eat together in the gym. At 6:10 p.m. a variety of lessons and activities for kids, youth, and adults will kick off. For the full schedule, see the announcements in the recent bulletins and on this website.
